To ensure that your children or employees are not
exposed to the harmful effects of unsuitable online
content, namely pornographic, violent, or racist
information, you need a software program that prohibits
the viewing of such material.
The
most powerful anti-porn software available for
the home or office.
SafePC’s Desktop Security &
Content Filtering enables parents, educators, and system
administrators to take control over the level of
Internet content censorship that is to be enforced by
the system, the web pages and images the PC can display,
which software programs can be run and at what times of
day they are permitted to be used.
Stops pornographic images
in Real-Time.
Why Real-Time?
Because this type of filtration is necessary to keep up
with the constantly changing electronic information sent
over the Internet. Unlike other
products, SafePC™
uses both forbidden list technology in
conjunction with a real-time filtering algorithms
that analyze images and text content as it streams from
Websites or as it is flows in as e-mail and associated
attachments. New websites and images are introduced on
line each and every day and can appear on a
second-to-second basis. Additionally, content on
existing sites changes rapidly. Without the ability to
analyze content and filter on the fly, static lists
become obsolete and cannot be relied upon to provide
continuous protection. Further complicating the
problem, many of today’s cellular phones and wireless
handheld devices are capable of taking pictures and
dispatching them in an instant. If lewd content is
contained in the image, only an effective real-time
filter can be used to block its display. The technology
used by SafePC™
responds to these dynamics in real-time, meaning the
sudden appearance of new and unsavory websites or the
possibility of an objectionable e-mail arriving without
proper screening is effectively eliminated.
Image analysis modules perform tens of thousands of
calculations in real-time, contextually analyzing face,
edge, background, foreground, skin, shading and texture
to determine the nature of the image and if it is
suitable to display.
Filters unwanted text
in e-mails and on web site text boxes.
Optimized for the home
and SME
market,
SafePC™
features a text analysis function that protects users
against objectionable predefined words and phrases on
websites or in the body of emails. With this powerful
content control, you can choose to block access to
certain data, safeguard against inappropriate language
and protect children
or
employees
from divulging personal or confidential information.
Provides complete control
over the level of filtering.
SafePC™
provides those in authority the tools needed to
supervise what their kids or employees can and cannot
see or do. The filter’s sensitivity is under the
control of the system administrator so they can make
intelligent use of the system to meet changing needs.
Using advanced ‘real-time’ Image Composition Analysis
(ICA) technology SafePC’s Content Filtering is truly on
the cutting edge of Internet security in its ability to
intelligently and accurately identify pornographic and
other offensive images and restrict them from being
displayed.
The analysis routines have been “trained” over a period
of four years to identify pornographic/offensive images
and text in digital-data transmissions such as web
surfing and e-mail.
Parents or system administrators are also provided a
further control of web site access through a feature
that allows them to label specific web sites either
“Blocked” or “Allowed”. This Black and White List
helps insure that known offensive sites are excluded
while letting acceptable sites through the filter.
Likewise, it permits the development of customized
keyword lists that filter out inappropriate, vulgar,
symbolic and sexual terms from web pages text boxes and
in e-mails.
Govern the day and time
kids access Internet and programs.
Children are often exposed to objectionable materials
(and other people who traffic them) because their
activities cannot be easily supervised. By controlling
time limits and permitted access periods, SafePC™
gives parents the tools they need to restrict the times
of day their kids play computer games or the amount of
time they spend online and in chat rooms.
SafePC™ makes it possible to customize the setting for
each computer user, based on their computer logon name.
Only the Administrator of the system - the password
holder - can make any changes but still have full access
to all system resources, installed programs and
websites.
Locks PC
against unwanted software.
SafePC™
prevents illegal downloading of copyrighted or obscene
material or unauthorized programs, installing alternate
browsers or chat software and protects your family.
SafePC’s Desktop Security allows you as the parent to
monitor and prohibit access to certain programs on your
computer. A password protected user interface provides
complete control over the use of your computer. It
allows you to select from a list of programs that you
wish to be controlled or completely blocked. Users can
also be restricted from installing new programs without
the proper approvals of an authorized party who controls
the password and can make proper decisions on program
availability to other users.
Attempts to run disallowed programs are simply ignored,
as are attempts to install new programs or shutdown
SafePC™.
